McKinnon Single Disc Pulper with Horizontal Washer is designed to cater to the need of small coffee growers who can process up to 1000Kgs of ripe cherry fruit input in an hour.

It consists of

• • Single Disc Pulper: A Disc Pulper to give excellent yields, no cuts or nips and uses hardly any water.
  • Horizontal Washer: A washer to remove the mucilage from the parchment coffee to leave the coffee squeaky clean, ready for soaking or straight to the drying yard.

McKinnon Disc Pulpers are used in wet processing plants to pulp ripe coffee fruit to parchment. The coffee is fed from fruit tank, and the wet parchment is discharged into fermentation tanks. The water is recovered and recirculated

McKinnon Disc Pulpers can be used for Arabica and Robusta varieties. They are made with one, two, three and four discs according to the capacities required. The single disc pulper can be manually operated with a short leg option. The disc pulpers can be configured with Rigid Chop or Flexible Chop option. The pulping operation takes place between the rubbing action of the bulbs on the disc and the lateral pulping bars called chop rails. The gap between the surface of the bulb and the chop rail can be adjusted to allow for any clearance that may by required according to the variety and size of coffee fruit processed. The hopper is fitted with a feed mechanism which ensures even feeding of the fruit to the disc surface.

McKinnon Disc Pulpers require minimum amount of water for pulping and the water can be recirculated for reuse after filtering of skins. The Disc Pulper can be run with Electrical motor or Diesel Engine and have a capacity of 1000Kgs of fruit intake per hour per Disc.

McKinnon Disc Pulpers can be used in conjunction with Cherry feeder, Aagaard pre-grader, Rotary sieve and Shaking sieves.
